Deviation Actions
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
12 years. Egads.
2. What does your username mean?
My current one is simply my name. My original one (ubermorte) was the first username I ever used online. It means over death from Germanic and Latin roots and was something that clicked that no one was using at the time.
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Artist, learning, evolving,
4. Are you left or right handed?
Lefty
5. What was your first deviation?
Near as I can tell one of my Heretic sketches from around April of 2003.
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Something involving mythology, and currently something that either involves washes or ink.
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Probably acrylic or oil, I know next to nothing about either.
8. What was your first favourite?
I have no idea. It looks like Crybringer's Devil Flonne Final but it was a year after I joined.
9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Well composed, well thought out and well executed. I've leaned a bit towards paintings I think.
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Very hard to say. I've loved Noah kh's work as well as Artgerm but I've honestly discovered a lot of great art here.
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Timothy Greenii, easily. We've worked together in comics for years but never actually met.
11. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Many have affected me in different ways. Timothy Greenii got me my big DC Comics break, Caanan White got me work at Avatar, many of my deviants are friends I know so they all impact my life and the friendships I've made here are too numerous to mention.
12. What are your preferred tools to create art?
My brushes, ink, watercolor pencil, watercolor, charcoal, ideas...
13. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Inspirations come from a lot places for me. But I suppose much of it comes from art jamming, life drawing and looking at artists that inspire.
14. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Most of them come from meeting people and commiserating with peers. Timothy Greenii, Jim Sandersiii, Caanan White and too many other people to count have given me great memories from my interactions with them. Not sure if I can whittle it down to just one.

Weird year.
I know it's been a minute, so bear with me.... So, we're near the end of this crazy year, and I've seen myself graduate from college with two degrees with honors in the middle of it, and have it bookended with both my parents dying. My mother passed from a heart attack earlier this year, and on November 28th my dad passed after years of health issues. They had divorced years ago, but I managed to keep a loving relationship with both, especially my father who I lived with most of my life and is directly responsible for much of the man I am today. I love them both and they will be missed in ways I don't have words for. To say it's not fair is a massive understatement, but life is seldom fair, so while I'll be mourning with my family this week my main focus is still on getting work as an illustrator and graphic designer. So to both get myself back into the swing of things and to bring in some necessary income to live and all that, I'm doing the unthinkable: opening up commissions. I'm
Timothy Green II Patreon
Greetings to all who are still on DA,
Timothy Green II, my partner in comic crime and good friend has been working on a few personal comic projects for a while now, and I've had the privilege of helping with slinking some inks to help make the dream a reality.
It's gonna be hitting the web soon and there's a Patreon up to support the projects here:

Small window for painting commissions.
So, at present I'm in the middle of my first summer class at Montgomery College, which is going fine. But the fall will get hairy as I will have 4 classes and between that and the work I'll be trying to balance between the classes (my current freelance work, any comic work that comes in) so now is the best time to look at trying to get anything. Right now, I'm getting a great deal of joy out of the paintings I've done of late, and if you're interested in getting an original of a person of your choice then I'm offering a limited window of 10 slots for people to commission me. For the paintings, the price is $150, and that's on 11x15 paper. Once I've gotten in all the commissions in, I'll have everything finished by the end of July, at which point I'll see about doing another batch of 10 for the next month, until school starts up again. Feel free to respond here or hit me with a note if you are interested.
The big day.
Well, now that the wedding madness is done (thanks for all the well wishes and such) We are preparing for the big move. We have a fine place in Rockville and the move in date is set for January 15, 2019. We both have movers helping us get the bulk of the stuff in, but I may still ferry small stuff here and there.
I realize that the date is during the week and that a lot of people won't even be available, but we hope to have a housewarming party before long so we'll keep everyone posted.
Thanks to all my local friends for the support, and thanks for the well wishes from everyone here. looking forward to this new chapter in my life.
