Description
Pencils: Atlas0
Inks: Joseph L. Silver
Haven't inked one of atlas0.deviantart.com/'s pics in a good while and asked if I could do an ink demo video, which I can happily say is finished. The video will be posted up on YouTube shortly.
Inked entirely with my trusty W+N series 7 #2 brush, except the hammer outline which was done with a .08 Micron.

The under drawing is too strongly 2D Graphic, so inking it the way the penciler prescribes does not help the 3DI. The hammer is a flat shape, even with the rendering, and the same can be said of HQ herself. She looks like a cut out because the rendering appears arbitrary - that is, for the most part it does not describe an underlying form.
So, it's hard to comment on the inks, other than that you stayed true to the pencils.
Times have changed. There was a time when an inker would take charge of the blacks to make that silhouette pop. Do that today and likely you would get a rep for screwing with "the art" and have trouble getting a gig. Still, you could improve this on your own, for practice.
