It has been a LONG time since I've really done much here, and there's been plenty of reason....

Since the comic work has not produced anything resembling a consistent income I've had to take on a second job, which over this past holiday basically became a full time job that still doesn't pay enough for me to live off of. It's effectively cost me some comic work and while i'm not happy about that, I'm not disappointed with a check rolling in every 2 weeks however small. Clearly things will need to switch more in the other direction because....

I GOT ENGAGED!!!! I posted a pictured I did a while ago called, 'My Muse' and the woman in the picture has agreed for some crazy reason to marry me. So a lot of changes are coming down the road but all of it basically means hunkering down and getting more time to focus on getting more consistent comic work and pushing the holy hell out of my Patreon. Timothy Green II and myself have been discussing and working on things that will hopefully see light and are always down for collaborating on books and the like.

So, I'll be working on art again at long last (an album cover job has just landed in my lap) and trying to get back into the rhythm of making videos of my process on various works.

You'll also not the lack of terms like resolutions and new start and all that, primarily because these are just extensions of things I need to refocus on and art hasn't stopped being my life, I've just had to make other money to support it.

So, I hope everyone had a happy holiday and I should be seeing more of all of you soon.
Some of you may have noticed I haven't been on in a while, so here's the basic scoop:

Work has slowed to nonexistent so among the bills overdue and not payed have been my phone (which is still off) and internet (which has only come back on a short while ago) so being able to do many of the most basic things to contact people and accomplish much have been quite limited, to say nothing of how I have subsequently neglected my Patreon page.

So now I jump back on the proverbial horse to see what I can do to get things financially back on track. So, if any of you creator types with need an inker you can actually pay......

Hello, Joseph.  I recently got Clip Studio Paint, which looks as if it will replace PS CS2 as my goto graphics editor.  The inking capabilities are INKredible.  Whether raster or vector, the lines are beautiful and can be readily adjusted both before and after the fact.  So, if/when you make room for digital, this is the program to get.  You can pick it up from SmithMicro very cheaply when it's on sale - as low as 15-25 dollars for the base version (Pro) and 70-80 for the complete version (EX).  They do an annual sale where they knock off 50-60 percent.

Aside from inking, it's also a great all-round comic book creation software and, because it's relatively light (compared to PS) it runs on laptops without lag or other problems.  Definitely worth looking into.

I purchased Clip Studio Paint back when it was still Manga Studio, and it is really great for a lot of different things ink-wise. I don't practice inking digitally near enough to feel like I've justified the purchase, but I do want to jump back in when I'm finished a few other things.

But thank you for the info, I appreciate you looking out for me.

Sure thing.
BTW - you probably already know that since you have the program, you can update it to the latest version online at either the Smith Micro website or the Celsys website.   ;)
